Summit Comics is more than an independent comics publisher: we are a creator-led collective driven by an unrelenting passion for the craft of storytelling, bridging the gap between mainstream superhero epics and the modern landscape of crowdfunding. But our mission goes far deeper than just making great books or building our brand.

It’s about building a better ecosystem for independent comics.

When you back a Summit project or buy one of our books, your dollar goes straight to one of the little guys kicking and scratching their way through the production of a comic. Not lining the pocket of some faceless corporate entity. We believe in lifting each other up, where success of one project directly helps to find the next creator looking for a headstart. Then we actively reinvest in our creatives, ensuring that passionate, upcoming voices have the resources they need to get their stories off the ground.

By functioning as a collaborative network pooling its resources together, we are actively creating a landscape that makes creator-owned superhero and genre stories easier, fairer, and better to tell. At it’s foundation, Summit is a company started by nearly two dozen indie creators, some of the most supportive and optimistic folks in small press comics. A true Voltron of indie creators who are actively building this collaboration up for the betterment of the community.

Whether we are exploring the edge of a new fictional cosmology, bringing a pulp nightmare to life via Kickstarter, or helping a new creator print their very first issue, our focus remains the same: the creators, the community, and the undeniable power of the printed page.
