THINK YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE THE COVER OF A SUMMIT COMICS ISSUE? SHOW US.
We’re getting ready to launch our second Summit-owned book: Summit Presents. The first three issues of the series feature the characters of Juna Marris and Killstrike, each getting their own three-part story spread through the first Presents arc…and we want you to make a cover for it!
Using the character designs, reference images, and page template found below, show us your take on a cover featuring Juna and Killstrike. Once finished, follow the details below to post it online and officially enter in the contest! One lucky winner will see their artwork turned into a cover on an official Summit release.
Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on July 1, 2026.

How to Enter
- Download the template above and create your cover art — digitally or traditionally.
- Finish it. Pencils and inks are welcome as long as the piece is complete and ready for coloring. Photos of artwork are not accepted — scan at high resolution.
- Export at high resolution (300 DPI minimum, full bleed to the template edges).
- Submit your work. Upload your cover to Instagram and tag it with #SummitChallenge to share with both us and the community! If you don't use Instagram, you can join our Discord server here and post it in the #cover-contest channel.

The winner gets a $150 cash prize, complimentary copies of their comic, the ability to purchase additional copies of their cover at wholesale prices in perpetuity, and the potential for future jobs within the Summit Universe. Case in point: artist Jay Zi was one of the winners of our inaugural Talent Search in 2025. Jay is now the artist bringing Summit: Pinnacle #2 to life—our first major event!
As many as you want! That said, winners will be chosen based on talent and care put into their submissions, not by the amount of submissions they enter.

As long as your artwork is a FINISHED piece, we can get someone to color it if needed!
Absolutely! Just print your copy of the provided cover, create, scan with a high resolution scanner, and upload the hi-res file.
Unfortunately not. All submissions need to be HIGH RESOLUTION.
No. Why? Because AI doesn't make artwork. It makes criminal slop. Any submitters found to be using AI on their submissions will be disqualified from this and future Summit contests.
