Summit unveils five creator-owned titles

Alongside Summit-owned titles such as Summit: Pinnacle and Summit Presents, the publisher will feature a smorgasbord of creator-owned titles as well, helping creators expand the lore of heroes and villains across the Summit Universe.

The publisher’s first slate includes five different titles that will debut across the first half of this year, with many more in the works for the back half of 2026 and beyond.

Granite smashes funding goal in first day

Granite: Powerless #1 launched earlier this month to rave reviews, reaching funding within its first 24 hours on Kickstarter. As of this writing, the campaign is over 200% funded heading into its third week on the platform.

Directly following the events of the Granite: Separation Anxiety one-shot, Granite: Powerless #1 follows the eponymous hero as she navigates a life in Los Angeles without being able to use her superpowers.

“Powerless continues to unravel Granite’s life and gives us more insight into the life of a celebrity superhero once they become completely human,” Granite writer CJ Hudson says of the series. “Who is a person once everything they were is stripped away? It’s a question that will always be intriguing to explore.”

Dr. Vane sets up Summit’s horror line

Diverting from Summit’s standard cape fare, The Curious Case of Dr. Vane introduces horror to the Summit Universe. Starring Aldric Vane in the eponymous role, the one-shot is an intense examination of dementia and other mental illnesses through the lens of pulp-age horror. Written by Summit chief creative Adam Barnhardt, Dr. Vane will be the first in a set of one-shots exploring members of the occult-adjacent Black Sigil Syndicate.

Upheaval flies onto the scene with its second issue (and beyond)

First debuting on Kickstarter under Travis Gibb’s Orange Cone Productions, Upheaval is back this March in her sophomore outing. As Gibb himself puts it, “Upheaval #2 picks up steam, introducing three new heroes to the universe as they join the fight against the deadly Respawnz.”

This pivotal issue not only expands the larger world of Summit, but also serves as a powerful reflection on the Pulse shooting and the lasting impact it has had on Florida and its community.

Cobalt Cricket leaps into action this spring

The Cobalt Cricket serves as Summit’s ultimate tribute to the comics and Saturday morning cartoons we grew up with, as the wisecracking Glenn Fielding takes on all sorts of legendary comic book villains in and around the fictional Karl’s Bay, Florida.

“The Silver Age. The Bronze Age. The 80’s. The Cobalt Cricket is born of those days. The fun. The colors. The pseudo-science. The alliteration. That’s what I want to revisit…to evoke with THE COBALT CRICKET. An every-man with his own real problems…college tuition, grades, a day job, friends…Glenn Fielding (The Cobalt Cricket) struggles to do what he can with what he has,” Cobalt Cricket creator Sebastian Piccione says.

He adds, “Elias ‘Gambit’ Melendez understood the assignment. He brings shades of Ditko, Romita, Perez, and more. Elias became a co-creator of the character as soon as I saw his first concept sketch. His art and colors simultaneously perfectly meet and thoroughly surpass my every expectation. We’re having a blast creating his story and we hope you have as good a time reading it!”

Wayfarer takes to the stars in April

Then comes Wayfarer, Summit’s first series set amongst the stars. Abducted by aliens and marooned galaxies from home, a devoted father must traverse the vast and dangerous cosmos to reunite with his family–forging a legend in the process. Wayfarer #1 is set for release in April and will be the first in a four-issue mini-series.

“Wayfarer is an ultimate passion project for me. It encompasses the largest scale possible in just four issues—and all first and foremost through the lens of character and emotion. Everything I hoped for this series to be is elevated by Stan Yak, who is creating breathtaking worlds,” Wayfarer writer Nate Schachter syas of the story. “The story is an epic love letter to science fiction and space opera in all of its forms—and he just kills it in every way to bring it all to life, filled out by the colors of Diego Souza and lettered by Adam Barnhardt. This is the kind of comic I’ve always wanted to make, and to get to do it to create a hero and cosmic corner for the Summit Universe is such a dream come true.”

Trench slams through the occult in their first mini-series

One of Summit’s earliest fan-favorites comes in the form of Trench, a hulking ultraterrestrial awakened by the events of A-Day, which are explored heavily in the events of Summit: Pinnacle #1. The mini-series, Trench: Hollywood Monsters, will hit Kickstarter this summer.

“Trench is coming back, and this time they’re going to Hollywood,” Arscott says. “The Cult of Dagon rules the world from the shadows, and Trench will be coming for them with full force in an all new solo comic.”
